Apple Pie Vanilla Ginger Sorbet
Ingredients
- 3 apples in chunks
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 3 slices Fresh Ginger
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
Instructions
- Place apples into a large pot with a little water, the ginger and cinnamon and cover and simmer until stewed and soft.
- Remove the apples, but leave the liquid. Prepare a simple syrup by combining 1 cup of water and one cup of sugar and vanilla and bringing to a boil and stirring occasionally. Once all sugar is dissolved, take off the heat and let cool.
- Once Syrup is cooled, combine a little of the syrup and ginger and fruit and purée in a blender. add the puree to the rest of the simple syrup.
- Put mixture in the Ice cream maker for recommended amount of time until mixture is frozen, creamy and smooth.
