Since our parties are so much fun, we only allow guests 21 and over unless otherwise noted. Also, because so many people want to come, our refund policy is written in each ticket. All purchasers must accept this policy as there are no exceptions.  ALL REFUNDS ARE SUBJECT TO A $12.50 PROCESSING FEE PER TICKET. Also, please email to ask if we can accommodate dietary restrictions for any event. Cancelling a ticket due to an unapproved dietary restriction will result in a $25 fee.

Beginner Sourdough Bread Making

This class is an in depth hands on class that introduces the theory and techniques behind maintaining and baking with a sourdough starter.

This is an introductory class aimed at building a baseline understanding of how a sourdough culture works, how to maintain it, and how to bake with it. There is a lot of confusing information out there about sourdough, and this class is aimed to help simplify things for the home baker.

IN THIS CLASS WE WILL COVER:
-What exactly is a sourdough starter?
-How to start your own starter from scratch
-How to maintain a sourdough starter
-Understanding bread ratios and how to change them
-The basic process of creating a sourdough loaf
-Making a basic rustic boule from start to finish
-How to create tension when shaping
-Baking methods
-How to use your sourdough discard

YOUR TICKET INCLUDES   (GET TICKETS HERE)
-A four hour relaxed hands on class

-Sourdough bread with accompaniments and coffee to snack on during the class.

-Bread samples to take home with you and some of my own sourdough starter to get you going.

-A dough that you made during class that is not fully fermented for you to take and bake at home

-A banneton basket for you to proof your shaped dough in
