Instructions
    Marinade
    1. In a bowl combine 1½ cups of red wine, with the onion soup mix, 1-2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce, 2 tbsp of garlic powder, and ½ tsp of ground black pepper. Marinate lamb or beef overnight in prepared marinade, covered tightly in refrigerator.
    Stovetop Instructions:
    1. Mix ½ tbsp of pepper and enough flour to make a thin layer on a dinner plate and then coat meat in flour mix lightly on either side.
    2. In a coverable, semi-deep frying pan, sauté onion and garlic in 1 tbsp of olive oil on medium high heat for about 2 minutes until onion becomes translucent.
    3. Brown lamb or beef on each side for 1-2 minutes or until you see flour turn a golden color.
    4. Pour marinade into frying pan. Add 2 tbsp of butter. Cover and bring to a boil and then lower heat to medium low and simmer for 3-5 hours.
    5. Remove meat from pan and let rest for 10 minutes while preparing sauce. Stir in 2 tbsp of flour slowly and cover and let simmer for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens. Serve the meat with this gravy on top.
