Ingredients
  • 10 oz. pretzel logs
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup brandy
  • 2 over-ripe bananas
  • 2 packets hot cocoa mix
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • crushed walnuts
  • caramel sauce

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup brandy
  • 2 over-ripe bananas
  • 2 packets hot cocoa mix
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • crushed walnuts
  • caramel sauce

Instructions
  1. Break the pretzels and place in a greased bread loaf pan.
  2. Whisk together 3 eggs. Then add the milk and brandy and whisk together.
  3. Mash the bananas with a fork or masher and then combine with the egg mixture and whisk together. You can use an electric mixer to make sure the bananas are incorporated fully.
  4. Add the hot cocoa mix, melted butter and sugar and mix together thoroughly.
  5. Preheat oven to 350 Degrees
  6. Pour the milk, egg and cocoa mixture over the pretzels and then cover pan. Let sit for about 20 minutes so the pretzels soak up some of the liquid.
  7. Let bake for 45 minutes covered. Uncover, sprinkle crushed walnuts on top and then let continue to bake for another 20 minutes until browned and puffed. Let stand about 5 minutes, top with caramel sauce and then serve.
  8. Can also serve with some ice cream as well.
