Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 clove garlic diced
  • 1/2 onion diced fine
  • 1 cup mushrooms diced, your choice of mushrooms
  • 2-3 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup turkey or chicken drippings or substitute broth and 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 sprig dill chopped
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 cup turkey or chicken drippings or substitute broth and 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 sprig dill chopped
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions
  1. In a pot, melt the butter, and then add the garlic, onion and mushrooms and sauté for about a minute. And then add one of the tbsp of flour. Stir to let it clump and then add the turkey drippings, red wine, dill, ground black pepper, salt and bring to a boil so it thickens a little. Lower heat to medium-low and let simmer. Add the rest of the flour while stirring and let it cook, covered for about five more minutes until it becomes thick.
