Ingredients
  • butter
  • 1 pear peeled and diced
  • 1 tbsp My Leaning Tower Italian Blend or create a blend of equal parts basil, dry minced garlic, parsley flakes with a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • 1 clove garlic sliced
  • 1/4 onion sliced
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1/2 lb chicken livers

  • 1 tbsp My Leaning Tower Italian Blend or create a blend of equal parts basil, dry minced garlic, parsley flakes with a pinch of red pepper flakes.

  • 1/2 lb chicken livers

Instructions
  1. In a large frying pan, melt 1 ½ tbsp of butter on medium heat. Add the pear and a ½ tbsp My Leaning Tower Italian Blend (save rest for later) and sauté for about 10 minutes. Remove and place in food processor.
  2. Using same pan, add a little more butter, garlic and onion with a pinch of salt and pepper and sauté for about 3 minutes until everything is tender.
  3. Add the chicken livers and rest of My Leaning Tower Italian Blend (or substitute spices) and sauté for 4 minutes per side until cooked through and tender (should be slightly pink in the center). Let sit for 5 minutes and transfer everything into a food processor.
  4. Add a tbsp of butter. Puree until smooth. Salt to taste. Once salted, place in a container, cover and refrigerate for about 2 hours.
  5. Serve with plain or vegetable flavor crackers or gourmet bread.
