Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic sliced
  • 1 green onion sliced
  • 5 brussel sprouts quartered
  • 1-2 carrots sliced
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp My Leaning Tower Italian Blend or create a blend of equal parts basil, dry minced garlic, parsley flakes with a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • 1 cup white rice
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes

  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes

Instructions
  1. In a deep, coverable frying pan, heat the olive oil and melt butter together over medium high heat. Add garlic and green onion and sauté for about a minute or so. Add the Brussels sprouts, carrots, pinch of salt, pinch of ground black pepper and My Leaning Tower Italian Blend and continue to sauté for another minute or so.
  2. Add the rice and sauté for additional 1-2 minutes until rice appears “shiny”. Add the wine and the chicken broth and a tsp of salt, stir and bring to a boil. Cover, lower heat to medium low and simmer for approximately 20 minutes until all the liquid is gone. Add the peas and the Parmesan cheese and stir rice gently until everything is incorporated. Cover, take off heat and let sit for another 3 minutes or so until peas are cooked and bright green.
  3. Serve.
