Basic Frittata Recipe

Incredibly easy and crowd pleasing frittata breakfast or brunch dish. File this one under "Hell's to the yeah, bit@hes!"

Ingredients
  

  • 5 eggs lightly beaten
  • 3 tbsp half and half, cream or milk
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 onion diced
  • 2 Vegetables If high in moisture, cook them first to get as much moisture out.
  • Seasonings & Cheeses

Instructions
 

  • lightly beat the eggs with half & half, cream or milk and set aside
  • Preheat oven to 425
  • Saute all of your veggies in butter or olive oil using your aromatics first and then adding others. Then spread around the bottom of the pan evenly.
  • Add the egg mixture and incorporate everything so it is consistent and let "set" in pan for about 30 seconds until egg starts to cook a little. Then add all of your seasonings and cheeses on top.
  • Transfer the pan to oven and let bake until slightly browned and fluffy. This will take about 5 minutes, so watch so it doesn't burn.
  • Serve immediately. Sprinkle a little salt on top if needed.
