Basic Frittata Recipe
Incredibly easy and crowd pleasing frittata breakfast or brunch dish. File this one under "Hell's to the yeah, bit@hes!"
- 5 eggs lightly beaten
- 3 tbsp half and half, cream or milk
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/2 onion diced
- 2 Vegetables If high in moisture, cook them first to get as much moisture out.
- Seasonings & Cheeses
lightly beat the eggs with half & half, cream or milk and set aside
Preheat oven to 425
Saute all of your veggies in butter or olive oil using your aromatics first and then adding others. Then spread around the bottom of the pan evenly.
Add the egg mixture and incorporate everything so it is consistent and let "set" in pan for about 30 seconds until egg starts to cook a little. Then add all of your seasonings and cheeses on top.
Transfer the pan to oven and let bake until slightly browned and fluffy. This will take about 5 minutes, so watch so it doesn't burn.
Serve immediately. Sprinkle a little salt on top if needed.
