Turkey Vodka Bolognese Sauce
Turkey Vodka Bolognese Sauce
Ingredients
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 28 oz. crushed tomatoes
- 1 tsp Italian Spice Blend Mix of Basil, Pinch of Fennel Seeds, Pinch of Red Pepper Flakes
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup Vodka
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz. Frozen Peas
- 3 sprigs Fresh Thyme
Instructions
- In a 5 qt chefs pan with a cover, saute crushed garlic in 1 tbsp of vegetable oil.
- Add Turkey and brown.
- Add Italian spices and salt.
- Add crushed tomato and stir.
- Add Vodka and stir.
- Let sit until simmering starts. Cover lower heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Uncover, add cream, peas and fresh thyme (remove leaves from stem first) and stir until incorporated. Let simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
