Spicy Sesame Honey Shrimp

Servings 3 people


  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Asian Spice Blend create a blend of equal parts dry minced garlic, cumin, paprika, chili powder, ginger with a pinch of five spice, cardamom and white pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp freshly ground ginger
  • tsp Sriracha sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 5 cloves garlic 3 crushed f0r marinade, 2 sliced for sauteeing
  • 1 tsp corn starch
  • 1 lb large shrimp
  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds for garnish
  • chopped parsley and green onions for garnish


  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly. Place shrimp in marinade for about one hour. Don’t over marinate or shrimp will begin to cook and become tougher.
  • Heat canola oil on medium high heat and saute garlic for one minute until golden brown.
  • Pan-fry in oil for about 2-3 minutes. Add the marinade to the pan and then pan fry for 3 minutes on other side.
  • Serve with sauce from the pan
