Turkey Vodka Bolognese Sauce


  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 28 oz. crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tsp Italian Spice Blend Mix of Basil, Pinch of Fennel Seeds, Pinch of Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup Vodka
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz. Frozen Peas
  • 3 sprigs Fresh Thyme


  • In a 5 qt chefs pan with a cover, saute crushed garlic in 1 tbsp of vegetable oil.
  • Add Turkey and brown.
  • Add Italian spices and salt.
  • Add crushed tomato and stir.
  • Add Vodka and stir.
  • Let sit until simmering starts. Cover lower heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Uncover, add cream, peas and fresh thyme (remove leaves from stem first) and stir until incorporated. Let simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
