Apple Pie Vanilla Ginger Sorbet


  • 3 apples in chunks
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 slices Fresh Ginger
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar


  • Place apples into a large pot with a little water, the ginger and cinnamon and cover and simmer until stewed and soft.
  • Remove the apples, but leave the liquid. Prepare a simple syrup by combining 1 cup of water and one cup of sugar and vanilla and bringing to a boil and stirring occasionally. Once all sugar is dissolved, take off the heat and let cool.
  • Once Syrup is cooled, combine a little of the syrup and ginger and fruit and purĂ©e in a blender. add the puree to the rest of the simple syrup.
  • Put mixture in the Ice cream maker for recommended amount of time until mixture is frozen, creamy and smooth.
